Squiggy

Hey! Check out Squiggy on the program, Dogs vs Cats on Animal Planet this summer and fall. Squig is the "tie breaker" at the very end. Also, watch for the segment, "Ugly Dogs" on the program, Dogs 101 (Squig's big debut).

Thanks to all who voted for Squiggy as their choice of World's Ugliest Dog! See www.sonoma-marinfair.org - "Squiggy has taken his celebrity status in stride and hasn't let all the fuss go to that spikey, mohawked head. He may be aesthetically challenged, but his sweet personality and comical antics make for a wonderful little dog.
Squig is a rescue dog, adopted at 8 weeks of age. A hairless dog is truly an unusual sight in the New England area since our winters can be a bit long. Not to worry though - with lots of warm layers of doggy sweaters, Squig is ready to go. Although he's an indoor dog (and a couch potato, at that) Squig gets his exercise through his daily walks through the streets of Wickford, a beautiful seaside village in southern Rhode Island - a must see! A hairless dog, sporting a spikey mohawk, lolling tongue and skinny chicken legs might remind most folks of a Dr. Seuss character as he strolls on by. You can't pass on by without him putting a smile on your face.

Squiggy has made a number of appearances on behalf of the Pet Refuge animal shelter in North Kingstown, RI. We'll be back again next Spring when the shelter hosts their 4th annual dog walk at Goddard State Park in East Greenwich.

What a crowd that turned up at the last Rhode Island Pet Show at the RI Convention Center in Providence. We had fun meeting everyone and look forward to the next show.

Squiggy was a guest of honor at the Wildlife Rehabilitators fundraiser
and was quite the crowd pleaser too!

Check back for upcoming special appearances by the Squigster.
